Overview:
We partnered with Innovative Production Technologies to completely rebuild an antiquated packaging system. The end customer was dealing with extended downtime events due to product failure / obsolescence and limited support. We worked with IPT to replace / re-control antiquated stepper motor configurations and reverse engineer control logic to provide seamless transition for operators using similar existing machines.

- Compact GuardLogix 5380 Controller and I/O
- PanelView Plus HMI for enhanced control / diagnostics
- Kinetix 5500 Servo Drives with integrated Safe Torque Off to re-control packaging rollers / conveyors
- PowerFlex 525 VFD with Safe Torque Off functionality to re-control main Cam motor and product infeed
- Replaced stand-alone temperature controllers with PLC-controlled (PID) solution
