ElectroGuard Modernization
Increased uptime achieved by migrating from an antiquated hard-wired safety solution to a programmable safety controller-based system
Project Overview:
ROSS Controls acquired the ElectroGuard product line and contacted us to help with modernization efforts due to obsolescence issues with several of the components that make up the control module for these systems. In addition, a customer with one of the largest installations of ElectroGuard, Kimberly Clark, was experiencing lengthy downtime issues with their existing systems due to hardwired safety circuits that were difficult to troubleshoot. Opus Integration worked with ROSS Controls and Kimberly Clark to develop a new control module that utilizes a programmable safety controller and operator interface to replace the obsolete safety components.
