Don Ault, Jr.
If you’ve ever met Don, you know his style: thoughtful, clear, and quietly brilliant. He’s the guy who can walk into a messy controls problem, study it for about three seconds, and say, “Okay, here’s the simple solution,” like it was obvious all along.
Don has a strong background in electrical engineering and computer science and has spent years working across nearly every corner of the automation world — controls, networks, software, process, you name it. But what makes him stand out isn’t just the expertise. It’s his approach.
One of Don’s favorite sayings is: “Solve complex problems simply. Don’t impress with knowledge — impress with clarity.”
That philosophy shows up everywhere at Opus. We don’t overcomplicate, we don’t hide behind jargon, and we certainly don’t design systems no one else can understand. Don’s leadership genuinely keeps us grounded in what matters — making things easier and better for our customers.
Outside work? He’s a tech-loving, Purdue-cheering, taekwondo-training, amateur-radio-talking, granddaughter-spoiling whirlwind of hobbies.
Scott Feldmeier
Scott is a warm, encouraging, “Let’s figure this out together” kind of leader. With over 30 years in automation across design, engineering, safety, robotics, and leadership, he brings deep experience — but even deeper compassion.
Scott is the type of person who always checks in on how you’re really doing and treats customers like long-time friends.
His approach can be summed up in his own words: “We’re not here for quick fixes — we’re here to build long-term partnerships.”
And he means it. Scott believes in doing business the right way: with transparency, honesty, and a handshake you can trust.
At home, he and his wife Amy are parents to a bustling, energetic family. Their family story reflects who Scott is at work too: steady, intentional, and wholeheartedly dedicated.
He’s a family-loving, Hoosier-cheering, fish-reeling, grandson-spoiling combination of heart and hobbies.
