Recently, Nick, Zack & Ian attended the Valve 101 course hosted by George E. Booth—a foundational training focused on valve technologies, controls, and applications in the process control industry. The course combined classroom instruction with hands-on practice, providing us with both the knowledge and real-world skills necessary to support our customers and systems more effectively.
Exploring Valve Types and Applications
The training began with an overview of common valve types, including ball, globe, butterfly, and others. We discussed how to select the correct valve for specific applications based on process requirements. This refresher was especially valuable for team members newer to process automation, offering a strong foundation for future projects.
